Just got back to South Wales after a 330 mile drive and it was worth every minute of the 7 1/2 hour drive!! Read all of the 58 reviews and are happy to give the 43rd excellent!! The cottage is lovely as everyone says. The beds are so comfy and the open fire and atmosphere in the cottage is great. We lived in the Lakes 20 years ago and our children had not seen where we lived and worked and it was the perfect base for visiting everywhere. Thank you Suzanne we will be back!!
The cottage was lovley,it has a great cosy feel to it,the open fire is a great feature and we enjoyed our evening's by it watching a few films and cooking. The bedrooms are fantastic and the beds are so comfy,it's impossible not to get a great nights sleep. The only down side for us was that the logs left for us were damp and the fire would'nt stay alight the first night,we needed to visit the aldi at penrith the next day to get a nice fire for our second night. All in all though everything else about our stay was superb. Thanks
