“A glorious week in Paris”

We couldn't have found a better place to stay! The location was perfect, the apartment cozy and quiet, and our host Rosemary was warm and welcoming. Her advice was always spot-on, and we are still dreaming about those incredible breakfasts ...

Réponse du gérant: Dear Bob, Jeanne and girls, Thank you for the lovely review and it was great to meet you all - even though you, Jeanne, were on a mission to wear everyone out every day, your pedometer probably over-heating. You needed my breakfasts every morning to keep you all going! However my facebook posts on, for example, the white chocolate and fresh raspberry bread elicits the appropriate comments!! Hope to see you all again soon and do consider the Luciole Barge Hotel as a holiday option - it is fabulous. Regards,

Réponse du gérant: Dear Kim, We both have to thank your 'Uncle Vic and Auntie Di'! If they hadn't stayed last year and recommended me we wouldn't have met! So glad you loved the breakfasts and the apartment and even though Australia is a long way away I do hope to see you again sometime. Regards,

Réponse du gérant: Dear Bob and Barbara, Thank you so much for your lovely review sent after your amazingly long trip. It was a pleasure to take you to the boulangerie and spend breakfasts chatting about your plans for the day. However next time you are not coming unless you bring better weather with you, normally my Mary Poppins' superpowers extends to the weather too but you beat me! And I am looking forward to receiving the photos of your garden. Regards,

52 Clichy B&B is located in a great area of Paris with many wonderful restaurants, bakeries, shops, etc. close by along with access to transportation links that will take you wherever you want to go in Paris as well as Versailles. Our host provided a true "French" breakfast each morning as well as wonderful tips on what to see, best ways to move around the city, places to eat, etc. Can't say enough good things about the experience. Only negative was that we wish we could have stayed longer!

Réponse du gérant: Dear Frank and Terri, Thank you so much for your lovely review. I was a pleasure to get to know you both over breakfast chatting at the table and I am so glad you loved Paris and the apartment. I am looking forward to seeing you both again soon, if Terri can fit me in to her busy holiday schedule! Regards,

“How could you improve on this????”

We arrived to a warm welcome from Rosemary, who gave us the keys and took us down to the apartment pointing out the things we needed to know and inviting us back for a cup of tea when we had unpacked. The apartment was wonderful...a double bedroom, bathroom, separate powder room, a well equipped kitchen (not that we did much cooking!) and a lounge dining room where one of the sofas could convert into a double bed. It was beautifully decorated and well equipped and a warm haven on the cold wet days. We soon learnt the codes for the external doors, though kept them with us "in case", and felt very secure. The apartmnet block was quiet, with extraneous noise forbidden during the evening and overnight. The area was interesting with a range of eating options, and a fantastic boulangerie only a few steps away. Convenience stores provided extra options for food and wine. Transport links were good. We mainly used buses because of the mobility issues of my partner and the service was excellent...catch the right one and the stop was only 50metres away.

“Just as wonderful as our first stay!!”

Last May a friend and I stayed at Rosemary's for the first time. It was a little slice of heaven. Sitting on her beautiful balcony and the incredible breakfast - fruit, yogurt, fresh pastries picked up that morning and french press coffee would be enough to make it special, but having an English host who can give you all sorts of tips and help is invaluable. The building is beautiful, very secure, has an elevator and is central to transportation so you can get anywhere if you don't want to walk. When I surprisingly got another opportunity to go to Paris this year, I contacted Rosemary right away to book her place. I took a different friend this year and she fell in love with 52 Clichy and Rosemary, just as we did last year.

“Lovely April in Paris”

This property is just 5 mins away from St Lazare Station and Moulin Rouge. The walk up to Montmartre was great, lots of interesting shops. We walked everywhere, we were lucky we had great weather. The property is large for Parisian standards. The building has 2 lovely courtyards and very quiet. Rosemary is extremely helpful, and the fact she can speak both English and French is good for those not so gifted, like moi ! just when we were about the check out on the last day, I found out that there was a flight controllers strike that day in Paris. Luckily, Rosemary came to the rescue and advised us to proceed to the airport unless directed otherwise by Air France. Glad we listened to her advice, our flight did take off eventually, after a 2-hour delay.
